Sustainability
From Forest to Future
At Clark Lumber, sustainability isn’t just a practice—it’s a commitment. Every part of the tree is valued, with sawdust repurposed to fuel our wood-waste boiler and generate heat for our kilns. By turning by-products into energy, we reduce waste, conserve resources, and deliver premium Appalachian hardwoods while protecting the environment for generations to come.
At Clark Lumber, we believe success begins in the forest. Nearly all of the lumber we produce is sourced from privately owned, sustainably managed forests—made possible through long-standing partnerships with landowners who share our commitment to responsible stewardship. Our team of forestry professionals tailors flexible timber harvesting programs to support a wide range of land management goals. By selectively removing only mature, overcrowded, diseased, or poorly formed trees, we help strengthen the overall health and productivity of each forest, leaving behind a stronger stand for generations to come.
But our work doesn’t stop at production. Clark Lumber is equipped to move raw materials and finished lumber wherever it needs to go—locally, nationally, and internationally. Our in-house transportation division, Bran-Em Trucking, manages the heavy lifting with a full fleet of day cabs, sleeper cabs, flatbeds, Conestogas, chip trailers, and log trailers. From forest to final destination, our team handles every step with precision and care.
At the core of our company is a deep respect for the land, the people we work with, and the legacy we’re building—one load of lumber at a time. Interested in working with us or learning more? Visit our contact page to get in touch with our team today.
